What is PESCO?
Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) is one of the largest public power distribution companies in Pakistan, operating under the regulatory authority of NEPRA and the Ministry of Energy. Originally carved out of WAPDA's power wing to handle regional supply, it delivers electricity to more than 3.8 million consumers across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through an extensive infrastructure of grid stations, high-voltage transmission lines, and distribution feeders. The company oversees power transmission, grid maintenance, and monthly billing for domestic, commercial, industrial, and agricultural sectors. | FC Surcharge (Financing Cost) | A small standard fee collected from every consumer to help pay off national energy sector loans and manage the country's circular debt. |

| Protected vs Unprotected status | If you keep your consumption under 200 units for 6 months straight, you stay in the "Protected" category and get cheap, subsidized rates.
