Quick answer: your official IESCO online bill (on the PITC bill site) includes a history of recent months that you can use to compare consumption, billed amounts and payments. Open it with your reference number or Customer ID to check your history and whether a payment has been recorded. For a quick paid/unpaid check, use our bill paid-or-not checker. For older records, ask your IESCO office.

This guide covers "IESCO bill history", "IESCO paid bill check" and "IESCO purane bill kaise dekhein".

How to open your IESCO bill history online

  1. Go to the official PITC IESCO bill page or our IESCO bill check page.
  2. Enter your 14-digit reference number or choose Customer ID.
  3. Open the bill and look for the billing history of recent months printed on it.

The history lets you compare recent months: how many units you used, what you were billed and what payment was recorded. It is the quickest way to spot a missing payment or a sudden jump in units.

What to look for in the history

  • Units per month: any month above 200 units ends protected status for the next six months. See our IESCO tariff and calculator guide.
  • Bill vs payment: if a month shows a bill but no matching payment, check your receipt for that month.
  • Arrears: an amount carried from earlier months appears as arrears on the current bill.
  • Estimated bills: IESCO's FAQ explains that a defective meter can lead to an estimated bill marked "def est". Several estimated months in a row are worth reporting.

Is my IESCO bill paid? Three ways to check

1. The online bill

Open the latest bill and check whether your last payment has been recorded. Payments are posted to the billing system after banks and apps report them. If you paid on the due date, it may not show immediately.

2. billhelp.pk paid-status checker

Our check bill paid or not page explains how payment status is updated and takes you to the official record for IESCO and other DISCOs.

3. Your own receipt

Your banking app, JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank counter receipt is your proof of payment. Keep the transaction ID and date until your next bill shows the payment and no wrong arrears.

Paid, but the next bill shows arrears?

This usually happens when a payment is made late in the cycle or posted to the wrong reference number. What to do:

  1. Check that the reference number on your receipt matches your bill exactly.
  2. Wait a few days and re-check the online bill, in case the payment was simply posted late.
  3. If it still shows, take the receipt and the new bill to your sub-division office. IESCO's FAQ says wrongly added arrears are corrected when you show the bank receipt of the previous bill.
  4. If the problem isn't fixed, lodge a complaint. See our IESCO complaint guide.

Need bills older than the online history?

  • Payment app history: most banking and wallet apps let you scroll back through past bill payments.
  • Your own copies: if you download your bill each month as a PDF or screenshot, you build your own complete record. This is useful for tax, rent and visa paperwork.
  • IESCO office: IESCO's FAQ says duplicate bills are available at its customer service centres; ask there or at your sub-division office for older records. Office numbers are in our IESCO office directory.

Installments for unpaid arrears

If arrears have built up, IESCO's FAQ says installments can be allowed on arrears only, not the current bill, with conditions such as no default in the last six months and a written undertaking. The officer who can approve depends on the amount: SDO up to Rs 2,000, XEN up to Rs 10,000, SE up to Rs 100,000, with larger amounts going to the CEO. The Power Smart app also lists bill installments among its services.

Quick checklist

  • Check your bill and history every month on our IESCO page.
  • Keep payment receipts until the next bill confirms them.
  • Watch your monthly units and stay at or below 200 if you are protected.
  • Report wrong arrears with your receipt as soon as you see them.
