WASA Rawalpindi prices a home from the plot size when there is no meter, and from gallons when there is one. The bands on this page are ranges. The rupee figure on your bill is the one you pay.
WASA Rawalpindi sits with the Rawalpindi Development Authority and the Punjab housing and public health department. Supply on this guide is from Rawal Lake, Khanpur Dam, and tubewells. Flat rate or a meter
Most homes are unmetered. The charge follows plot size in marla or kanal, and covered floor area, whether or not you used that much water. Metered billing is for bulk homes, commercial buildings, industry, and the residential pockets where a meter is actually fitted. Those bills follow gallons or cubic feet.
Unmetered homes
The monthly base below is the range this guide lists. Most residential sub-divisions are billed every two months, so the invoice is two months of water plus sewerage.

Sewerage
Residential sewerage on this guide is usually 30% to 50% of the base water rate. A base of Rs. 600 would put sewerage between Rs. 180 and Rs. 300.
A property on its own borehole that still discharges into the WASA sewer pays a sewerage-only charge based on the plot. Commercial effluent that needs a grease trap or de-silting can draw a seasonal drainage charge.
Metered gallons
Rates are per 1,000 gallons. A cubic-metre meter is read and then priced on the same kind of steps. These are ranges.

Pipe size and an upper floor
- Half an inch. The ordinary ferrule for a single house, at the base tariff.
- Three-quarter inch or 1 inch. This guide applies a multiplier of 1.5 to 2.5 on the base.
- Another kitchen or portion. Ground plus first floor, or a further portion, can add a unit charge or a percentage for each extra portion.
Two examples
Both use a 40% sewerage share, inside the 30% to 50% band, and a bi-monthly bill. They show the arithmetic. They are not a substitute for the bill.
A 5-marla house, no meter. Base water Rs. 350 a month, which sits inside the Rs. 300 to Rs. 420 band. Two months are Rs. 700. Sewerage at 40% is Rs. 280. Payable before the due date in this example: Rs. 980.
A 10-marla house with an upper portion. Base water Rs. 700 a month, inside the Rs. 650 to Rs. 820 band. The upper portion in this example adds 50%, which is Rs. 350, so the monthly base is Rs. 1,050. Two months are Rs. 2,100. Sewerage at 40% is Rs. 840. Payable before the due date in this example: Rs. 2,940.
After the due date
This guide states a 10% late surcharge on the current bill if you pay after the due date. Unpaid amounts carry forward as arrears and can take another 10% in a later cycle. The category is wrong, or you want a meter
A 5-marla house billed as 10 marla, or a home billed as a shop, is a category correction. Ask for that form at the revenue office. Attach the registry, fard, or approved plan that shows the plot. File it at the Liaquat Bagh revenue counter. An inspector visits. The Assistant Director Revenue then resets the base and can correct earlier overbilling.
A meter is a written request at the same directorate. Engineers inspect and issue a demand notice for the meter and the installation. This page does not print that fee.
